Jessa Aldridge
Postdoctoral fellow
Jessa is a postdoctoral fellow in the Glazer lab. She earned her B.S. in Chemistry and Ph.D. in Biomedical Sciences from East Tennessee State University. Jessa is interested in research projects dedicated to elucidating the molecular mechanisms that drive cardiac arrhythmias. Outside of lab, Jessa enjoys playing music and entertaining her two cats, Pickle and Toast.
Richard (Trey) Dolder
Ph.D. student
Richard is a graduate student in the Glazer lab, pursuing a Ph.D. in Human Genetics. He earned his B.S. in Chemistry from the University of Georgia and previously worked in the NIDDK Laboratory of Biochemistry and Genetics at the NIH. He is now working on developing high-throughput methods to test a wide range of mutations in clinically significant ion channels.
Ellen Osborn
Ph.D. student
Ellen is a PhD student in the Human Genetics Program and is interested in interpretations of genetic disease, particularly understanding variant penetrance and enhancing precision in genetic risk evaluation. She did her B.S. and M.S. at the University of California-Davis in Biochemistry and Molecular Medicine and Genomic Medicine. Outside of the lab, she likes to trail run and take naps in the sun.
Jeremy Smith
Research Assistant
Jeremy is a Tennessee native and geneticist that works in the lab assisting with experiments, bioinformatics, and administrative work. He received his M.S. from Middle Tennessee State University where he studied both Genetics and Marine Biology. Jeremy plans to continue evolving his skills in data analysis and next generation sequencing techniques while growing with the lab.
Sophie Cohen
Research Assistant
Sophie graduated from Vanderbilt with a major in Molecular and Cellular Biology. She is interested in genetic diseases, especially those that are hereditary, and wants to pursue a career in genetic counseling. Her favorite things to do in her free time are reading and singing.
Paige Roberson
Undergraduate

LAB ALUMNI
Matthew O’Neill
M.D.-Ph.D. student
Matthew was an M.D.-Ph.D. student who worked closely with the Glazer Lab. He previously trained in synthetic organic chemistry and now seeks to combine this background with genetics to advance pre-clinical therapeutic discovery. He studied the effect of mutations on RNA splicing, and performed various other arrhythmia genetics studies in the lab. Matt is now an internal medicine resident at Brigham and Woman’s Hospital.
Ayesha Muhammad
M.D.-Ph.D. student
Ayesha was an M.D.-Ph.D. student who worked closely with the Glazer Lab. She performed high-throughput in vitro studies of cardiac arrhythmia variants, including a multiplexed scan of thousands of variants. She is currently doing her residency in anesthesiology at the University of Michigan. Twitter LinkedIn ORCID
